You can't get out of food what is not in it. Non-organic conventional fertilizers only replenish the earth with 3 nutrients. That is all they put in them. The human body requires 52 different nutrients. You can eat conventional veggies all day long, but they are not gonna magically produce nutrients that the fertilizer doesn't provide them with.

Your opinion is a travesty. Here I am thinking this is a site for enlightened organic folks and I see your post. Organic has much more nutrients and is much healthier for a person. Butterflies are gorgeous creatures of this earth. Personally, I refuse to be a toxic dumping ground for our profit driven government run by Monsanto. I guess while you are in your deathbed suffering from cancer, you can find me outside, admiring the beautiful butterflies as I enjoy my organic garden.

One of the key issues with organic beauty products is labeling. Due to lax laws many cosmetic companies use words such as organic or natural on their products even though they may still contain harmful chemicals such as parabens or SLSs. These laws have recently been tightened, leading to many companies using words such as organix in a practice called greenwashing to continue fooling their customers into thinking they are buying a safe product. That is why it is important to buy only certified organic products which have been vetted by an independent body to make sure that they contain only organic ingredients. We at Amarya in the UK stock only certified organic products and have in turn been ourselves certified by the Soil Association as being a certified organic store.

As someone who is admittedly pretty paranoid of germs, I simply use common sense. When I prepare my organic food I wash my hands before and after handling my food, and I wash/rinse off the food itself whenever possible.

Just be logical, use common sense and enjoy your healthy, green, organic food. Good stuff!!!
